Holiday Service Schedule
To allow our teams to celebrate Christmas Day and New Year’s Day
with their families, we will be delaying service by one day during the
holiday weeks. If your typical collection day falls on or after Wednesday,
please put your cart out for collection one day later the weeks of December
23 and December 30, 2019. Remember to position your cart four feet from any
other objects, including vehicles, fences, mailboxes and other carts, so
that we can service it safely.
Safety
is a core value at Waste Management and we want everyone to make it home
for the holidays. Our Waste Watch-trained drivers are looking out for you
on the road and in the community. They know your neighborhood and will
report any unusual activity to local law enforcement. You can help deter
potential thieves by breaking down boxes from recent purchases and putting
loosely in your cart on pickup day. If you will be away, ask a neighbor to
bring your cart back up. A cart left on the street may suggest that your
home is unattended.
Please
take extra care on the roads during this busy season. Slow down and allow
extra following distance, especially when the weather is poor. Always
buckle up and never use a cell phone when driving. Our drivers promise to
do the same.
And
when you recycle this holiday season, please
remember to ONLY put clean bottles, cans, paper and cardboard in your
recycling bin.
Please keep lights, toys, clothes, bags, batteries, food and other
non-recyclable items out of your curbside recycling cart.
